When I tell you that my jaw dropped and I was speechless when I first saw the NEW Sandals Royal Curaçao property… I seriously had my jaw open and I was speechless.
THE PROPERTY
The resort is a west facing property on 44 acres set within an iconic 3,000 – acre estate located in Santa Barbara, Curacao. When the sun sets, the sky paints incredible orange, red and purple tones across the horizon.
Sandals Royal Curaçao is an all-inclusive resort that includes all tips, taxes and gratuities. Shared round trip transfers are included in the all-inclusive rate however if you would like to upgrade to a private transfer and you are my client, I can make that happen at an additional cost.
THE ROOMS
We toured the following rooms:
ASP – Away Seaside Butler Bungalow with Private Pool
This room category is the highest room category available. There are only five bungalows and they are just off to the side of the 2-level infinity pool on the beachfront. The shower opens to both the room and the deck.

KB – Kurason Island Poolside Butler Bungalow with Patio Tranquility Soaking Tub
The room was being cleaned and prepped for the guest so we could only take pictures and videos of the outside deck area. This would be such a fun area for a group of couples! You would have the shared pool but also your own private space. It does feel like a little bubble of paradise.

AS1B – Amante One Bedroom Swim-up Oceanview Butler Suite with Patio Tranquility Soaking Tub
Room Tour
The butler to this section of rooms was putting the finishing touches on the welcome amenity for the guests. He was very kind and very meticulous about the little details. If you want a little more privacy than the Kurason Island Bungalows this room category would be right down your ally.

BLX – Sunchi Luxury Beachfront
Room Tour
The maintenance team was working on last minute touches before the guests arrived. This is one of the lead in categories and let me tell you I did not find a room without a gorgeous view. The room we toured is on the second floor of the building in the picture.

ENTERTAINMENT
There is a stage that is set up on the beach between the channel beach and the pool beach. There are DJs, live music, performances, day/night entertainment and more.
GOLFING
Sandals Royal Curaçao does not own the golf course. Hole One of the golf course is in front of the buffet restaurant, the food trucks and the golf store. The coarse is called the Old Quarry Golf Course.

DIVING
Below you can see the activity center that is on property. Here you can find the unlimited water sports, snorkeling equipment and the PADI-Certified SCUBA diving and equipment.

THE BEACH
There are two beach areas. One is in front of the infinity pools and expands to either side, and one is located off to the North of the pools towards the channel.
The beach in front of the infinity pools looks very rocky to enter the water then opens up to beautiful turquoise water. The sand was harder and not as fluffy as it looks. The beach volleyball net was set up just off to the side of the infinity pools. One unique aspect this beach had was the heart shaped Bali beds. These are first come, first serve!
The beach to the North of the pools towards the channel has a barrier in front of it and it goes almost to the end of the Sandals property at the channel. The activity center/desk is located at this beach. I would say a good 98% of people being on a beach were at this beach. There are Bali beds all along the channel.
This is not a property for beach or water lovers. Pool people, this is for you.

THE POOLS
One of the most unique features that Sandals Royal Curaçao has on property is the 2-level infinity pool. There is an infinity pool inside the infinity pool… like how cool is that?! Both infinity pools have clear edges and the swim up bar is located in the bottom infinity pool.
There is also another pool on property which is known as the quiet pool however they are very close to each other. There are foosball and ping pong tables by this pool.
There are two hot tubs located in-between the two pool areas, closer to the beach.

THE FOOD & DRINK
There are 8 fine dining restaurants, 13 bars (including a swim-up bar), 3 new food trucks, a stocked bar in every room and unlimited Robert Monday Twin Oaks® Wines.
I typically do not prefer Sandals food however, I acquainted many people on the island who were staying at Sandals and they were raving about the food. When we toured the resort the aesthetics of the restaurants especially Zuka and Vincent were very impressive. We were told that with this specific Sandals Resort, they wanted to improve the food and create a culinary experience.

THE CONVERTIBLE MINI COOPERS
The fact that you could be riding around exploring Curacao in a convertible MINI Cooper is probably one of the coolest aspects of Sandals Royal Curaçao. The complimentary opportunity is only offered to select room categories and you can only reserve one MINI Cooper for one time for 4 hours. With that said, you can still make some pretty cool memories driving through Curacao in style!

THE ISLAND
There is so much to see and do on the island of Curacao. From stunning beaches to European towns, there is something for everyone. This is a destination that you have to get off the resort and experience. Check out my blog about Curacao!

KLEIN CURACAO
When visiting Curacao, you need to visit Klein Curacao too! It is a deserted island about 1.5 hour boat ride from Curacao. There are two ship wrecks, an abandoned lighthouse and the most beautiful water I have seen. Check out my blog about Klein Curacao!
